Insurgency Server Updates

Both Insurgency Servers have been updated with the ImprovedAI mod.

ImprovedAI Features enabled:

Bots will now have custom names and will pull names from the active player list.

Bots will now have custom difficulty settings that are going to be tuned over time. My plan is to try and tweak them to be terrible long shots but more difficult as they get closer. Being headsniped by a running hassan with a lmg from 100m is not fun. The servers are both currently using the default ISMC bot configs until we tweak our own.

 

General Server Changes:

Bot count has been reduced from 30 to 20. May be increased after further testing.

Bot multiplier has been reduced from Min 4 to Minimum 2, Maximum 8 to max 4.

Bot respawn settings have been changed to effectively make them respawn as soon as they die.

The last point will still have a enemy multiplier of 1.5x, aka 30 bots attacking.

 

Something we are looking into is figuring out if there is a way to reduce bot spawns and help a last man alive capture a point with a full server for epic recapture moments.

 

These changes should help reduce lag spikes when there is a full server, even out lulls in the action, and make gameplay slightly less mindless. It's still gonna be a shooty bang bang kick the door down kind of server. RUSH B BROTHERS.

We are looking into having every CrG server post a few messages when they are about to perform a routine restart.

Hotfix:

Players were being massacred by the new AI updates this go around. As a temporary solution I've decreased botcount down to 10 from 20, among other small changes. A full 12 man has not won a whole match against the bots yet, however players are now reaching the end point almost every round instead of immediately dying on A.

 

Difficulty will be fine tuned to be more balanced soon(tm).
